To oversee, manage and develop DXB/DWC Line Maintenance operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance, supporting the airline’s flying program while maintaining high levels of aircraft availability, reliability, and safety performance.

• Oversees operational strategy and performance standards for Line Maintenance across DXB/DWC, ensuring alignment with airline operational objectives, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.
• Oversees and develops Line Maintenance teams, providing workforce oversight, coaching, and guidance to ensure regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and high performance.
• Ensures all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with flydubai and regulatory requirements, using up-to-date maintenance data, and develops processes to enhance service levels while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Maintains aircraft technical dispatch reliability and fleet availability are maintained in line with agreed operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Oversees effective coordination of Resource Management System (RMS) activities to support data-driven operational decisions, optimize maintenance activities and workforce planning, and manage disruptions in real time.
• Ensures adequate resources, manpower, and operational support are available to manage planned and unplanned maintenance activities, AOG recovery requirements, and flying spanner operations.
• Manages departmental performance and financial accountability, ensuring achievement of budget targets while maintaining operational capability and cost efficiency.
• Promotes active endorsement of the company's safety policies and non-punitive culture, actively encouraging all employees to fully participate in the Safety
• Management System and its associated activities.
• Oversees competency assessments and performance oversight of all employed and contracted staff within Line Maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and flydubai standards.
• Ensures maintenance facilities, tooling, and ground support equipment remain serviceable, compliant, and capable of supporting operational requirements.
• Ensures all personnel are kept informed of legislative requirements and comply with regulatory updates, technical instructions, and company procedures.
• Oversees standardized Line Maintenance practices to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all teams and operational locations.
• Provides assistance for investigations arising from safety reports, incidents, and/or reliability events.
• Provides support for internal and external audits, including regulatory audits by authorities such as GCAA and/or EASA, and ensures timely follow-up on findings and corrective actions.
• Ensures all maintenance personnel are aware of and comply with airworthiness limitations,

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification in aircraft maintenance or aviation management.
• Fluent in English
• Management of maintenance organizations
• Years with qualifications: 10 - 12 years
• Current CAR 66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (or FAA/ICAO TYPE II equivalent) with ratings on the Boeing 737NG with CFM56-7B engine, and/or MAX-8 with LEAP1-B engine.
• Proven experience in managing 24/7 aircraft line maintenance operations, overseeing multi-shift teams to ensure fleet availability, regulatory compliance, efficient resolution of technical disruptions, and cost-effective operational performance.
• Knowledge of AMOS, AIMS, and the Resource Management System (inform Groundstar software) is desirable.
