A Relationship Officer (RO) builds and maintains strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty, ensure satisfaction, and drive company growth. They act as the primary contact for inquiries, identify cross-selling opportunities for products (e.g., loans, insurance), and ensure compliance with operational policies, often working in banking, finance, or customer-centric roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Nurture relationships, resolve issues promptly, and conduct regular client reviews.
  • Sales & Business Development: Identify and approach potential customers to sell products/services and achieve sales targets.
  • Sales Support: Work with Relationship Managers to increase product volume, and prepare/submit client call reports.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Analyze and collect customer documents to ensure adherence to KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of products/services to provide tailored solutions.

  • Sales Orientation: Results-driven with strong negotiation skills.
  • Education/Experience: Usually requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, alongside experience in a customer-facing role.
