Job Objective
Lead the design, engineering, and execution of HVAC systems for oil & gas facilities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project specifications. The role is responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and energy-efficient HVAC solutions across all project phases.

Responsibilities:
Lead HVAC system design for:
• Control rooms, substations, telecom shelters, and buildings
• Hazardous area ventilation systems
• Pressurization and smoke management systems
Perform:
• Heat load calculations (HAP/Carrier software or equivalent)
• Equipment sizing and selection (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems)
Develop and review:
• HVAC layouts, ducting drawings, and schematics
• Material requisitions (MR), technical bid evaluations (TBE)
Ensure compliance with:
• ADNOC engineering standards
• International codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO)
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil)
• Review vendor documents and approve HVAC equipment submittals
• Support procurement and ensure timely material delivery
Provide technical support during:
• Installation
• Testing & commissioning
• Resolve site technical issues and ensure design integrity
Ensure HVAC systems meet:
• Hazardous area classification requirements
• Fire & gas system integration
• Promote HSE policies aligned with ADNOC guidelines
Participate in:
• HAZOP / HAZID studies
• Design reviews and safety audits
• Lead and mentor HVAC engineers and designers
• Interface with client representatives (ADNOC PMC team)
• Manage engineering deliverables, schedules, and manpower
• Ensure quality assurance and control of HVAC deliverables
• Oversee HVAC system pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Validate performance testing (TAB – Testing, Adjusting & Balancing)
Ensure documentation:
• As-built drawings
• O&M manuals
• Commissioning reports

Expected
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 15 years experience in HVAC Engineering, with minimum 5 years experience as a Lead Engineer
- Experienced in mega ADNOC Oil processing EPC/EPCm projects
- Experience in the use of HAP / Carrier, AutoCAD, Revit software
- Familiar with SHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, DW144 standards
- Familiar with ADNOC specifications and procedures
- Familiar with explosion-proof HVAC systems and redundancy and reliability design philosophy
