Job Details

Under guidance from the Corporate Clinical Costing Manager, the Senior Corporate Costing Analyst is responsible to support Corporate Clinical Costing Manager in day-to-day tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, provide periodic and ad hoc costing reports to Senior leadership in SEHA and in regions; enhance, maintain and update Qlik Costing app; build and maintain costing SQL business rules and SSIS packages 


Strong measurement skills, high level of logic, reasoning power and analytical experience would be pre-requisites to understand and quantify the numerous components of health care.


Demonstrates high level of competency in understanding of the clinical costing, and its operations across SEHA, to deliver value-added consulting.

Responsibilities:

1. Decision Support for Senior Management
The Senior Corporate Costing Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across SEHA by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable clinical costing insights. This includes enhancing, maintaining, and continuously improving Qlik costing applications to ensure data integrity, usability, and relevance. The role is responsible for producing regular (periodic) and ad hoc costing reports for senior leadership at both corporate and regional levels, translating complex costing data into meaningful insights that support strategic, financial, and operational decisions.


2. Clinical Costing Systems, Projects, and Programs
The role actively supports clinical costing-related projects and system enhancements by coordinating with internal stakeholders such as Business Intelligence (BI) teams, Cerner, and third-party vendors. Responsibilities include identifying system issues, supporting enhancements, and ensuring smooth integration of costing solutions. The analyst also engages with external stakeholders, including the Department of Health (DoH) and Daman, contributing analytical expertise to discussions and proposals aimed at improving funding models, reimbursement methodologies, and overall healthcare costing practices.


3. Costing Data Management and Reporting
A core responsibility of the role is ensuring the reliability and accuracy of clinical costing data. This includes troubleshooting daily costing load failures, resolving rejected records, and identifying root causes of data issues. The analyst builds, maintains, and optimizes costing SQL business rules and SSIS packages to support automated data processing and reporting. Additionally, the role involves extracting ad hoc datasets directly from backend systems using SQL to meet urgent or specialized analytical requests from leadership and stakeholders.


4. Departmental Operations and Business Continuity
The Senior Corporate Costing Analyst supports the overall functioning of the clinical costing department by ensuring continuity of operations. This includes proactively escalating risks, issues, or concerns to management, supporting team members as needed, and covering responsibilities during absences or peak workload periods. The role also involves active participation in SEHA meetings, committees, and working groups, as well as supporting the manager in preparing status updates, progress reports, and other departmental communications.


5. Mentoring, Training, and Knowledge Transfer
As part of SEHA’s Emiratization initiatives, the role has a strong mentoring and supervisory component. The analyst is responsible for training, guiding, and coaching National Developees and junior team members, helping them build technical, analytical, and healthcare costing capabilities. This includes on-the-job training, knowledge sharing, and providing structured feedback to support professional growth and succession planning.


6. Contribution to Team and Managerial Support
The role provides day-to-day support to the Corporate Clinical Costing Manager, assisting with operational tasks, analysis, reporting, and follow-ups as required. The analyst is expected to collaborate effectively with team members, contribute to collective goals, and demonstrate flexibility in taking on additional responsibilities aligned with departmental objectives.



Qualifications:

Required: 


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Operations/Accounting/Finance/Commerce/Economics or relevant field with 7 years of post-qualification experience.


Desired: 


Master's degree or equivalent professional accountancy qualification with 5 years of post-qualification experience.
