Description
In this role, you will deliver structured music-based therapy for children aged 2 - 18 with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, communication or sensory challenges, emotional needs, and behavioral concerns. Using music as a therapeutic tool, you will support attention, participation, communication, emotional regulation, confidence, and social engagement. You will work within a multidisciplinary pediatric team, ensuring interventions align with each child’s overall developmental goals.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group music therapy sessions
- Work effectively with children presenting with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, social challenges, sensory needs, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral difficulties.
- Assess each child’s developmental profile, communication level, sensory response, emotional needs, and therapeutic goals in relation to music-based intervention.
- Plan and deliver individualized and group music therapy sessions tailored to children aged 2 - 18.
- Use music therapeutically to target communication, emotional expression, regulation, confidence, attention, interaction, turn-taking, and participation.
- Develop therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs and goals
- Monitor, document, and evaluate the child’s progress and therapy outcomes
- Integrate music-based interventions into broader therapy programs
- Collaborate with therapists, educators, and families to maximize impact
- Stay updated on best practices, research, and regulations in music therapy

Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy, or a related field
- Formal music therapy training and hands-on experience in child development, pediatric mental health, neurodevelopmental care, or special needs intervention.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with children aged 2 -18, preferably in the UAE.
