Role Description
This OPI/VRI role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role entails providing over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI) services to facilitate effective communication between parties who speak different languages. This includes listening to, understanding, and interpreting verbal communications accurately and efficiently in real time, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional standards. The professional will also collaborate with diverse teams and clients to ensure effective and meaningful communication.
Qualifications
Proficiency in one or more languages for interpretation and translation, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in customer service, providing client-centered solutions, and handling multilingual communication effectively. Ability to maintain professional ethical standards, including confidentiality and impartiality. Strong interpersonal, active listening, and problem-solving skills to facilitate clear communication. Experience with multicultural settings and sensitivity to diverse cultural nuances. Technical proficiency in using calling and video conferencing tools and systems designed for remote interpretation. Prior experience in interpretation or a related field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field is advantageous.
