Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and ocular infections
Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract surgery and other microsurgical interventions
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity testing, slit-lamp examination, and fundoscopic evaluation
Interpret and utilise advanced diagnostic tools, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), visual field testing, and retinal imaging
Manage chronic ophthalmic conditions, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy
Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative care for surgical patients
Collaborate with optometrists, endocrinologists, neurologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care
Provide patient education on eye health, vision care, and preventive strategies br> Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ophthalmology programs br> Ensure adherence to international ophthalmology guidelines and UAE healthcare regulations

Desired Candidate Profile

American Board of Ophthalmology
UK CCT / FRCOphth / MRCOphth
Royal College Certification (Canada)
Australian Fellowship /b>
Arab Board in Ophthalmology
MS / MD / DNB / FCPS Ophthalmology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing. Licensing guidance and support will be provided where applicable.
