Job description
Job Purpose
The BOQ & Systems Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining BOQ and BOM data along with master system information within truck chassis and automotive manufacturing operations. The role ensures high levels of data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across business systems, while supporting cost control, production readiness, and effective coordination between production, procurement, planning, and related functions. The position ensures that all BOQ and BOM information is correctly structured and maintained to support smooth manufacturing execution and operational efficiency.
Scope of Work
The scope of this role covers the full lifecycle control of BOQ and BOM data within an automotive manufacturing environment focused on truck chassis and vehicle assembly. This includes maintaining and controlling master BOQ/BOM structures, sub-assemblies, components, and configuration data in alignment with production and operational requirements. The role ensures that all system data is accurately maintained and synchronized across ERP (Oracle) and PLM (Teamcenter) systems. It also ensures that BOQ/BOM structures are fully aligned with manufacturing processes to support material planning, procurement, and production execution. In addition, the role supports change implementation within BOQ/BOM records, ensures traceability of components, and maintains data integrity across all related systems.
Key Responsibilities
The BOQ & Systems Controller is responsible for maintaining and updating master BOQ and BOM structures for truck chassis and automotive assemblies, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date within Oracle ERP and Teamcenter systems. The role involves creating and managing work orders, maintaining material records, and ensuring that Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders are properly validated against approved BOQ/BOM data. The role also includes generating reports, providing data clarifications, and maintaining Excel-based tracking tools to support operational control, material planning, and system accuracy.
Reporting Relationship and Interfaces
The position reports to the Manufacturing Systems Control Manager and works closely with production, procurement, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth coordination of data and material flow across the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial discipline, or related field, along with 3–5 years of experience in BOQ or BOM management within an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience in truck chassis or heavy vehicle manufacturing is highly preferred. The candidate should have strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle and exposure to PLM systems such as Teamcenter or equivalent platforms. Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities are essential, along with a solid understanding of BOM structures, change processes, procurement, and material flow in a production environment.
Key Competencies
The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, a structured system mindset, and the ability to manage complex data with accuracy. The candidate must demonstrate strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively across multiple departments, along with the ability to manage priorities and work within tight production timelines.
Important Note
This position is strictly focused on truck chassis and automotive manufacturing BOQ/BOM systems. Applications from candidates with experience limited to construction, electrical contracting, or IT BOQ environments will not be considered.
