exceptional customer experiences. We are seeking a Route Sales Representative to deliver products safely and efficiently while
driving sales through customer engagement and brand promotion.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering products to customers. Ensure timely support during deliveries and maintain
cleanliness and safety of the vehicle. Help with cash handling, documentation, and customer interactions to provide excellent service.
Contribute to smooth operations by reporting market insights and any issues promptly.
How you will make an impact (Key responsibilities):
1. Vehicle & Safety
- Operate the delivery truck safely and in compliance with traffic regulations and company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the truck at all times.
- Immediately report any mechanical issues, breakdowns, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving.
2. Delivery Operations
- Execute daily delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Load and unload 5-gallon water bottles and cartons efficiently, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Collect empty bottles from customers and replace them with new ones as per order requirements.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and submit customer visit reports when required.
- Navigate routes effectively to optimize delivery time and fuel efficiency.
3. Sales & Cash Management
- Promote company products to existing and potential customers to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Handle all cash transactions, invoices, and receipts with accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain proper documentation for all sales and collections, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty.
- Lead and supervise the Assistant/Helper during deliveries to ensure smooth operations.
4. Market Awareness & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer feedback during route visits.
- Report market trends, customer complaints, and operational challenges promptly to the supervisor.
- Provide insights to improve service quality and identify opportunities for business growth.
Skills
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid manual driving license with experience operating a 3-ton truck.
- Prior experience in water, food, or FMCG distribution.
- Physically fit to handle 5-gallon bottles and cartons; minimum height of 165 cm.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and ability to inspect and maintain delivery vehicles.
- Familiarity with route planning for efficient and timely deliveries.
- Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Sales-oriented mindset with experience in promoting products and achieving targets.
- Good market awareness and ability to report competitor activities and customer feedback.
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and ability to lead and guide assistants during deliveries.
