Roles & Responsibilities
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for construction and interior fit-out projects. This role plays a critical part in securing projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop competitive and realistic pricing..
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents to understand project scope.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for civil, architectural, and fit-out works.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions within deadlines.
Review and validate technical and commercial aspects of subcontractor bids.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for cost inputs and clarifications.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
Maintain a database of cost benchmarks, material rates, and supplier pricing.
Assist in post-tender negotiations and handover to the project execution team..
Qualifications & Requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
5–10 years of estimation experience in UAE/GCC, preferably with contractors or fit-out companies.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and UAE market rates.
Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel (advanced level).
Experience in preparing BOQs as per standard methods of measurement (POMI / CESMM preferred).
Good understanding of contracts, commercial terms, and tendering procedures.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines..
