Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery and fit-out works by analyzing drawings, specifications, and scope documents, ensuring timely submission of quotations and tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural and joinery drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand project scope.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom joinery, loose and fixed furniture, and fit-out elements.
Quantify materials, labor, and production hours required for manufacturing and site works.
Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and project teams for technical and cost inputs.
Request, obtain, and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Prepare cost comparisons and value engineering options to optimize pricing.
Submit tender/bid documents as per client requirements and timelines.
Attend site visits or meetings (if required) to understand project conditions.
Support the sales and project teams with pricing clarifications and revisions.
Maintain and update a database of costings, rates, and suppliers for future reference.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of estimation experience in a joinery manufacturing setup.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical field.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of joinery materials, production processes, and site practices.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Strong MS Excel skills; experience with estimation software is an advantage.
Attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills.
