Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery and fit-out works by analyzing drawings, specifications, and scope documents, ensuring timely submission of quotations and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and joinery drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand project scope.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom joinery, loose and fixed furniture, and fit-out elements.

• Quantify materials, labor, and production hours required for manufacturing and site works.

• Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and project teams for technical and cost inputs.

• Request, obtain, and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare cost comparisons and value engineering options to optimize pricing.

• Submit tender/bid documents as per client requirements and timelines.

• Attend site visits or meetings (if required) to understand project conditions.

• Support the sales and project teams with pricing clarifications and revisions.

• Maintain and update a database of costings, rates, and suppliers for future reference.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of estimation experience in a joinery manufacturing setup.

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical field.

• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, production processes, and site practices.

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong MS Excel skills; experience with estimation software is an advantage.

  • Attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills.
