Roles & Responsibilities
We, at Emarat Aloula is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimation Engineer – Electronics & Instrumentation (E&I) to support tendering and cost estimation activities for ongoing and upcoming EPC infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering, with hands-on experience in preparing accurate estimates and tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for Electronics & Instrumentation scope of works
Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and client requirements
Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for electronics, instrumentation, and automation systems
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to obtain technical and commercial inputs
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare technical/commercial comparisons
Prepare RFQs, cost breakdowns, and estimation reports
Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost optimization measures
Support bid clarification meetings and technical discussions with clients and consultants
Maintain updated records of market rates, suppliers, and historical cost data
Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, standards, and company procedures
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 7 years of relevant UAE experience in EPC tendering and cost estimation
Proven experience in infrastructure projects such as:
District Cooling Plants (DCP)
Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
Pumping Stations (PS)
Substations and utility projects
Strong knowledge of Electronics, instrumentation, and automation systems
Familiarity with UAE/GCC standards, suppliers, and subcontractors
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and commercial evaluation skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, estimation software, and ERP systems
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach
Preferred Attributes
Experience with EPC contractors and utility/infrastructure projects in UAE
Familiarity with ADDC, TRANSCO, TAQA, DEWA, or similar authority standards is an advantage
Immediate or short notice availability is an advantage
