Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight of structural works on site to ensure construction aligns with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.

  • Review and support technical assessment of contractor method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals where structural performance or design intent may be affected.

  • Support coordination with the architectural, MEP, and design teams to resolve structural-related site issues and interface conflicts.

  • Attend key site inspections and structural activities (e.g. major pours, PT stressing operations, critical sequencing stages) as required.

  • Support site QA team by providing engineering input into NCRs, technical observations, and corrective actions where structural design intent is impacted.

  • Assist with monitoring of structural progress from a technical and buildability perspective, identifying risks related to sequencing, temporary conditions, or design assumptions.

  • Participate in site coordination and technical meetings, providing clear engineering direction where required.

  • Support review of as-built drawings and structural close-out documentation to confirm alignment with approved and validated design.

  • Be proficient in Revit and have a good understanding of BIM processes

  • Demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills

  • Have good working knowledge of Dubai authority requirements and approval processes

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Structural / Civil Engineering.

  • 6–8 years’ experience, with demonstrable construction-stage engineering experience on high-rise reinforced concrete buildings.

  • Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete and post-tensioned slab systems.

  • Proven experience validating consultant-issued IFC designs for construction.

  • Experience reviewing structural calculations, concrete mix designs, shop drawings, and temporary works.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, load paths, and buildability considerations.

  • Proficient in Revit / AutoCAD and familiar with BIM coordination processes.

  • Good working knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, codes, and approval processes.

  • Confident communicator, able to challenge design where necessary and provide clear, defensible engineering decisions.

  • Previous experience on towers of 40+ storeys.

  • Middle East construction delivery experience.

  • Experience working within a main contractor environment.

  • Must be a Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors)
