Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead testing & commissioning activities for 400/220/132kV substations.

2. Execute testing of GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, protection relays, control systems, SCADA, and auxiliary systems.

3. Prepare T&C procedures, method statements, schedules, and test reports.

4. Perform relay configuration, secondary injection, troubleshooting, and functional testing.

5. Coordinate with clients, consultants, OEMs, vendors, and construction teams during commissioning activities.

6. Monitor testing progress, manpower utilization, and project milestones.

7. Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, IEC/IEEE, and utility standards.

8. Support energization, synchronization, and final commissioning of substations.

9. Maintain testing records, punch lists, and commissioning documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.

2. 8+ years of hands-on experience in testing & commissioning of 400/220/132kV substations.

3. Strong experience in transformer testing, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection systems, and SCADA/SAS.

4. Utility approval/certification for transformer testing from DEWA/SEWA/TAQA/EthihadWE/SEWA

5. Good troubleshooting, coordination, and reporting skills.
