We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials used in railway, tunnel, station, and infrastructure projects, contributing to the successful completion of innovative construction endeavors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates in accordance with established standards and project specifications.
- Prepare test samples and record accurate data in a timely manner to support project requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliable and precise test results.
- Collaborate closely with site engineers and project teams to provide timely feedback on material quality and compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed reports summarizing test findings and recommending corrective actions if necessary.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment at all times.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to uphold project standards.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Laboratory Technician in construction or infrastructure projects, preferably involving railway or tunneling works.
- Strong knowledge of testing methods for soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Proficiency in operating laboratory testing equipment and maintaining calibration records.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication skills with the ability to provide clear technical information to project stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to laboratory work in the construction industry.
- Flexibility to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and adhere to project timelines and schedules.
