Designation: Senior Manager- MEP
Desired Candidate: Relevant experience in fit out for commercial interior projects
Skills: Project management, Microsoft Office, Communication skills, Vendor management, Team management
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, Planning & Technical Oversight
- Review and validate all MEP designs, drawings, and specifications (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & ELV systems)
- Ensure alignment of MEP layouts with architectural and design intent
- Oversee preparation and review of:
- Load calculations
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Lighting layouts and circuiting
- HVAC layouts and ducting design
- Plumbing and drainage systems
- Identify design gaps, conflicts, and value engineering opportunities
2. Execution & Site Management
- Lead on-site MEP execution ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Coordinate closely with site teams, contractors, and subcontractors for seamless execution
- Monitor installation of:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical power & lighting
- Fire alarm & fire fighting systems
- Public Address and ELV systems
- Plumbing and drainage works
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, standards, and checklists
3. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central point of coordination between:
- Design team
- Contractors and subcontractors
- Consultants and client representatives
- Resolve on-site technical challenges and ensure minimal disruption to project timelines
- Provide technical guidance to site teams, supervisors, and vendors
4. Project Control & Monitoring
- Review contractor schedules and track MEP progress against project timelines
- Flag delays, risks, and quality issues proactively and drive corrective actions
- Ensure availability of required resources, materials, and manpower on site
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local regulations and authority requirements (DIFC, DM, Civil Defense, etc.)
5. Commercial & Documentation
- Prepare and review quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates
- Support procurement in vendor selection and technical evaluations
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and site records
- Assist in budget tracking and cost optimization initiatives
6. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all MEP installations meet required quality standards and specifications
- Conduct regular inspections and snagging reviews
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience with leading design or design-build firms.
- Strong bias toward getting things done on-site, not just planning
- High sensitivity to finishes, detailing, and quality standards
- Can proactively identify risks and resolve on-ground issues quickly
- Maintains strong client trust and communication throughout project lifecycle

Skills
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
- Strong experience in UAE / GCC projects, including authority approvals and compliance
- Strong expertise across:
- HVAC systems
- Electrical power & lighting
- Plumbing & drainage
- Fire alarm & fire fighting systems
- ELV systems (PA, data & voice)
- Strong on-site execution and coordination capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Ability to manage client-facing discussions and technical coordination
