Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic commercial policies to elevate revenue growth and market presence.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and clients, fostering strong relationships that drive profitability.

  • Oversee budget management and financial forecasting to maximize resource utilization and minimize costs.

    Strategic Commercial Planning

    • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve sales and profit targets

    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior

    • Recommend product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies

      Procurement & Supplier Management

    • Oversee buying and procurement for multiple categories

    • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors

      Pricing & Profitability

    • Set pricing strategies to maximize sales and margins

    • Monitor profitability and adjust plans based on performance

    • Track gross margin contribution per category

      Promotion & Marketing Coordination

    • Plan and execute promotional campaigns and offers

    • Work closely with marketing and store teams for campaign execution

    • Analyze promotion performance and recommend improvements

      Inventory & Stock Control

    • Ensure optimal inventory levels and stock rotation

    • Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for timely product availability

    • Minimize wastage, shrinkage, and overstocking

      Data Analysis & Reporting

    • Analyze sales performance, KPIs, and category trends

    • Prepare reports for senior management with actionable insights

    • Monitor category performance and take corrective actions

      Team Leadership

    • Lead and mentor the commercial and buying team

    • Ensure alignment of team objectives with company goals

    • Promote a high-performance and customer-focused culture

      Compliance & Standards

    • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements

    • Maintain quality standards across all product categories

    • Monitor supplier adherence to agreements and contracts

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial management or business development.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management within the industry.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and analysis tools to support strategic decision-making.
