Set up, program at operator level, and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Machines for large, heavy-duty oil & gas components
Machine critical parts such as valve bodies, wellhead components, flanges, manifolds, spools, and pressure-containing equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, API specifications, and customer requirements
Align, level, and secure large workpieces using precision fixtures, clamps, and alignment tools
Select, install, and set cutting tools, boring bars, and tool offsets suitable for alloy steels, stainless steels, Inconel, and other oil & gas materials
Edit CNC programs at the machine (tool offsets, wear offsets, minor code changes)
Perform boring, drilling, facing, milling, tapping, and contouring operations with tight tolerances
Establish and verify work coordinates, datums, and reference points
Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and repeatability
Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMM where required)
Maintain compliance with API, ASME, and customer quality standards
Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, or program-related issues affecting part quality
Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration checks, and housekeeping
Complete required production and quality documentation, including inspection reports and job travelers
Follow strict safety procedures for handling large components and heavy lifting equipment
Work closely with programmers, engineers, quality, and inspection teams to meet delivery schedules.
