Roles & Responsibilities
Mechanical Millwright – Rotating Equipment
Reports to Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman, or Mechanical Engineer
Position Overview. Experienced millwright needed for rotating equipment installation, including
pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and turbines. Site-based role requiring precision leveling,
alignment, and pre-commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities

Support for API pumps, centrifugal compressors, gas turbine trains, and air fan coolers
Oil flushing, pre-commissioning, and start-up support
Preparation of mechanical completion punch lists and installation reports
Coordination with field engineering to expedite technical queries
Safety & Compliance
Strict adherence to HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and LOTO procedures
Full compliance with lifting operations and ADNOC safety rules
Working knowledge of hazardous area classifications and site safety protocols
Required Experience
8+ years in oil & gas rotating equipment installation
Heavy-duty centrifugal compressors and API pumps
Gas turbine trains and air fan cooler installations
Familiarity with rotating equipment defects during construction phase
Gulf area experience
Qualifications
Technical diploma or millwright certification
HSE/safety training
Familiarity with laser alignment kits and dial indicators
Proven experience certificate for this role (8+ years)

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 8 years of experience in rotating equipment installation and maintenance within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or EPC projects
Strong hands-on experience with API pumps, centrifugal compressors, gas turbine trains, gearboxes, and air fan coolers
Skilled in precision leveling, laser alignment, dial indicator alignment, soft foot correction, and shimming techniques
Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, oil flushing, and start-up support activities
Ability to identify and rectify rotating equipment installation defects during construction phase
Knowledge of gearbox inspections, backlash checking, tooth contact verification, and coupling preparation
Familiar with mechanical completion procedures, punch listing, and installation documentation
Good understanding of HSE regulations, PTW system, LOTO procedures, and hazardous area safety practices
Experience working on ADNOC or major Gulf oil & gas projects preferred
Ability to read engineering drawings, alignment reports, and technical documents
Strong coordination and communication skills with field engineering and construction teams
Technical diploma or Millwright certification required
Valid experience certificates and safety training certifications preferred
Candidates with UAE/Gulf experience will be given preference
Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice preferred
