Roles & Responsibilities
Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls covering all areas of the Security department so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are adhered to while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
Day-to-Day Operations
Supervises the implementation of the day-to-day operations assigned for the Security department to ensure compliance with established policies, processes, and procedures.
Investigation & Reporting.
Supervises the effective implementation of the incident investigation process and undertakes, as necessary, investigations and reporting of security incidents (where required, in conjunction with appropriate agencies) in a timely and accurate manner, and makes recommendations based on the outcomes of such incidents.
Training & Embedment
Maintenance, Testing & Inspection
Controls and coordinates all maintenance and testing of security protection systems throughout the plant to ensure operational readiness.
Develops and initiates routine evaluations of the workplace, as required, advising on all aspects of security precautions to identify any areas of non-conformance with local regulatory requirements and internationally accepted standards, and recommends solutions to ensure compliance.
Maintains familiarity with local regulatory requirements and international standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
Complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
People Management
Supervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within the Security department is carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and individual targets.

Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, or at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Preferably accredited or holding membership with a recognised association.
Minimum Experience
Skills
Preferably bilingual (Arabic and English).
Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).
Knowledgeable in ISPS Code.
Knowledgeable in Physical Information Security.
Knowledgeable in Electronic Security Access Control Systems, CCTV Security Systems, burglar alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, and fire systems.
Experience in administering a department, preferably within a multinational team environment.
Proficiency in SAP applications.
Proficiency in computer applications.
