Job description
We are looking for a Legal Expert Assistant to support a registered court expert in managing expert assignments before Dubai Courts and other judicial authorities. The role involves handling case files, coordinating with parties, organizing documents, preparing meeting minutes, assisting in draft expert reports, and ensuring timely follow-up on all procedural requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Access and manage assigned case files through Dubai Courts systems.
- Review case documents, pleadings, memoranda, evidence, and supporting attachments.
- Organize electronic case files and maintain proper document filing.
- Prepare document indexes and summaries for expert review.
- Coordinate meetings with claimants, defendants, lawyers, and related parties.
- Draft meeting invitations, minutes of meetings, and follow-up correspondence.
- Assist in preparing preliminary and final expert reports.
- Track deadlines, court hearing dates, report submission dates, and required actions.
- Follow up on missing documents, party responses, comments, and objections.
- Maintain confidentiality and neutrality in all case-related matters.
- Support administrative tasks related to court expert assignments.
Skills
- Good knowledge of legal and court procedures in the UAE, especially Dubai Courts.
- Strong Arabic and English communication skills.
- Excellent document management and filing skills.
- Ability to review and summarize legal documents and case materials.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good drafting skills for emails, minutes, and reports.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, email, and cloud filing systems.
- Professional attitude, confidentiality, and neutrality.
- Experience in law firms, expert offices, courts, arbitration, audit, or consultancy is preferred.
