Roles & Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process customer transactions, ensuring accuracy and speed while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.

  • Supervise and guide a team of cashiers, providing training, support, and performance feedback to maintain high service standards.

  • Manage and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

  • Oversee customer service interactions, addressing complaints and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Coordinate with the meat shop team to ensure accurate pricing, weighing, labeling, and billing of meat products.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the cashier and customer service area in accordance with meat shop and food safety requirements.

  • Assist in monitoring stock movement, promotional offers, and daily sales reports within the meat shop.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cashier role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

  • Proven experience in the retail, supermarket, or meat shop industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer service principles.

  • Prior experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash register operations is essential.

  • Familiarity with meat shop operations, weighing scales, product handling, and hygiene standards will be an added advantage.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
