ROLE DESCRIPTION:The Commercial Director is responsible for driving revenue generation and implementing strategic initiatives to maximize profitability at vocoâ„¢ Monaco Dubai Hotel.
This role oversees the hotel's sales, marketing, and revenue management functions, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and brand standards. The Commercial Director plays a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies, cultivating key partnerships, and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Strategy and Execution:Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across all market segments. Lead the sales team in prospecting, negotiating, and closing business deals. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
Marketing and Brand Management:Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility and attract target audiences. Ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment with corporate marketing guidelines. Utilize digital marketing channels and social media platforms to promote the hotel and drive direct bookings.
Revenue Management:Oversee revenue management strategies to optimize room occupancy and rates. Analyze market demand and pricing trends to adjust pricing strategies accordingly. Implement revenue management best practices and monitor performance metrics.
Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, travel agencies, corporate clients, and industry partners. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships and business opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:Provide leadership and guidance to the sales, marketing, and revenue management teams. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs to develop team members' skills and knowledge.
Financial Management:Prepare and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial goals. Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
FUNCTIONAL PRE-REQUISITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Proven experience in a senior sales or commercial role within the hospitality industry, ideally within a luxury hotel environment with a track record of exceeding sales targets.7+ years of experience in 5* hotel within UAE/Gulf region. Proficient in Microsoft Suit Office; Adept in revenue management system, CRM tools, digital marketing platforms, or related is preferred.
