CNC Plasma Cutter Operator – ESAB Machine Experience

We are looking for a skilled CNC Plasma Cutter Operator with hands-on experience operating ESAB plasma cutting machines. The candidate should be capable of machine setup, program execution, material handling, and ensuring high-quality cutting standards in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC plasma cutting machines, preferably ESAB systems.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting layouts.

• Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment before cutting operations.

• Prepare and run CNC programs for plasma cutting operations.

• Monitor cutting quality, dimensions, and tolerances during production.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Replace consumables such as nozzles and electrodes when required.

• Ensure optimal material utilization and minimize wastage.

• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.

• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to meet daily targets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Plasma Cutter Operator.

• Hands-on experience with ESAB plasma cutting machines is mandatory.

• Knowledge of G-code/CNC programming basics.

• Ability to read technical and fabrication drawings.

• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and cutting parameters.

• Good understanding of measuring instruments and quality checks.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or related field.

• Experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing industry.

• Ability to work independently and under production deadlines.
