Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize cost estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process and enhance accuracy.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline project scope, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Research and analyze market trends to provide up-to-date information on material and labor costs.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to gain insights and clarify project requirements with clients and stakeholders.
  • Continuously update and maintain a database of unit costs for various materials and labor to ensure precise estimations.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
  • Provide support during the project lifecycle by revisiting and adjusting estimates as project conditions evolve.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and contract terms.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or equivalent are preferred.
  • Experience in handling large-scale projects, especially in the commercial or infrastructure domains, is a plus.
  • Nationalities with a background in countries with advanced construction practices are highly valued.
