Roles & Responsibilities

Estimation Engineer, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects involving underground cable installation, electrical distribution equipment, and overhead line works. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience with TAQA, Municipality and ADNOC project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

• Perform detailed quantity take offs from IFC and tender drawings.

• Prepare cost estimates for underground cables, electrical distribution systems, and OHL works.

• Develop detailed BOQs in line with TAQA , Municipality and ADNOC standards.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions.

• Identify project risks and propose cost effective solutions.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams during the tender stage.

• Attend pre bid meetings and site visits when required.

  
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/BTech/BS in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the UAE, specifically in estimation for electrical contracting companies.

• Technical Know-How: In-depth understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) networks, RMUs, Transformers, Cable Jointing, and Termination.

• Authority Standards: Proven experience preparing estimates compliant with TAQA (Abu Dhabi Distribution Co./Al Ain Distribution Co.), ADNOC (Onshore/Offshore) specifications, and various Dubai/Sharjah Municipality regulations.
