About the role
Our client is seeking a business unit manager to join their team. Reporting to senior regional leadership, this role will provide full strategic and operational ownership, ensuring the achievement of financial, commercial, and operational objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong P&L management, commercial leadership, and operational excellence, aligning business unit performance with overall organizational strategy.
About the requirements
Strategic & business unit leadership
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the business unit operates efficiently and meets financial and operational targets.
- Develop and implement the business unit strategy aligned with overall organizational goals.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and drive continuous improvement.
Commercial performance
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, market expansion, and customer relationship management.
- Oversee sales planning, pipeline management, and key account development.
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen the company’s market positioning within the region.
Pricing strategy
- Develop and enforce pricing strategies that ensure market competitiveness while protecting profit margins.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and cost structures to support informed pricing decisions.
- Ensure pricing discipline across all commercial activities.
Cost management & financial control
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and overall financial performance of the business unit.
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives across operations, procurement, and supply chain.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation to maximize profitability and return on investment.
Operations & production management
- Align production capacity and operational capabilities with market demand and sales forecasts.
- Drive improvements in operational efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety, compliance, and delivery performance across all operations.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior business management or general management role with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in sales leadership, pricing strategy, and cost management.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision making skills.
- Experience managing operations, production, or supply chain functions within a complex business environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive performance.
