About the role:

Our client, a well-established player in the building materials industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven business development manager – plywood sales to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring strong market knowledge, relationship-building skills, and a target-driven mindset that aligns successfully with the organization’s growth objectives.


About the requirements

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the plywood and building materials market
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with contractors, carpenters, interior designers, architects, and dealers
  • Promote and sell plywood products to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets
  • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs
  • Visit construction sites, retail outlets, and project locations to generate leads and convert opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms, and successfully close sales deals
  • Ensure timely follow-up and collection of payments from clients
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
  • Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, delivery schedules, and customer support

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of proven experience in plywood, timber, laminates, or building materials sales
  • Strong network within the construction, interior design, or fit-out industry is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly target-driven
  • Valid driving license is mandatory
