Summary:
The Construction Manager - Utilities will oversee and manage various construction projects related to utility systems, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Job Responsibility:
1. Coordinate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
2. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for utility construction projects.
3. Supervise and manage construction teams to ensure projects are executed as per specifications.
4. Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays that may arise.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.
6. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to optimize project outcomes.
7. Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
8. Prepare reports on project status, budget, and any potential risks or delays.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in the utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) may be advantageous.
