Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and the interpretation of diagnostic tests to form comprehensive treatment plans.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases, ensuring ongoing monitoring and adjustments to therapy as needed.
• Act as a primary care provider, coordinating care among specialists and ensuring that patients receive holistic management for their health issues.
• Educate patients about disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and adherence to medical regimens to empower them in their health management.
• Utilize evidence-based medicine to develop and implement treatment protocols while staying current with the latest research and clinical guidelines.
• Perform routine procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies, and other minor outpatient surgeries as part of comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient outcomes and optimize healthcare delivery within the practice.
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records to facilitate continuity of care and legal compliance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including nurses, pharmacists, and social workers—to address complex patient needs and enhance health services.
• Provide mentorship and training for medical students and residents, fostering the next generation of internal medicine professionals.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution, with a focus on internal medicine.

• Completion of a residency program in internal medicine, with board certification or eligibility by a recognized medical board.

• Fluency in Malayalam proficiency in additional languages is a plus to cater to diverse patient populations.
