Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and stage cancer through comprehensive patient evaluation, including physical exams, reviewing medical history, and ordering diagnostic tests like biopsies and imaging.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, encompassing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy, tailored to the specific cancer type and patient needs.
  • Prescribe and manage systemic therapies, meticulously monitoring patients for side effects and adjusting treatment protocols to optimize efficacy and minimize toxicity.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care, collaborating with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other specialists to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completed an internal medicine residency followed by a fellowship in medical oncology, board-certified or board-eligible.
  • Possesses a valid medical license and is eligible to practice medicine in the designated location.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical oncology, demonstrating a strong understanding of cancer biology and treatment.
