Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the comprehensive care of hospitalized general surgery patients, from admission to discharge, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform initial patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations, diagnostic test ordering and interpretation, and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide surgical consultations for non-surgical hospital patients, offering expert opinions and recommendations for surgical interventions when necessary.
• Collaborate with surgical specialists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of a residency program in General Surgery, board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery is required.

• Hold a valid medical license and be eligible for licensure in the state where the position is located.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing General Surgeon, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures.

• Specialist DHA License is required. (General Surgery). GS Ward Experience in tertiary level hospital
