Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager – Finance to lead the organization’s financial planning, reporting, compliance, treasury, and risk management functions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving financial stability, profitability, and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

  • Prepare financial and management reports for senior leadership

  • Drive budget preparation, quarterly reviews, and financial forecasting cycles

  • Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and insights

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations

  • Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders

  • Ensure audit findings and recommendations are effectively implemented

Financial Control & Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks

  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures

  • Monitor financial performance, variances, and operational efficiency

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning

  • Oversee banking relationships and funding activities

  • Optimize capital structure and cost management initiatives

Cost Management & Profitability

  • Analyze operational costs and recommend efficiency improvements

  • Support pricing strategies and profitability enhancement initiatives

  • Provide financial insights for business expansion and investment decisions

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team

  • Set KPIs and ensure high team performance and accountability

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration

Business Partnering

  • Partner with department heads to support operational and strategic decisions

  • Support mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, or expansion initiatives where applicable

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • MBA is preferred

  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly preferred

  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles

  • Strong understanding of financial management, accounting standards, and compliance regulations

  • Experience in manufacturing or regulated industries is preferred
