Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Director to oversee production operations for fast-paced and diversified projects within the retail furniture, joinery, fit-out, and architectural industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing advanced and automated manufacturing processes while ensuring optimal resource utilization, operational efficiency, quality standards, and cost effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee production workflows for multiple projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes through research, testing, and implementation of advanced production methods and technologies. Analyze production requirements, workflow, space utilization, and equipment layout to maximize manufacturing efficiency. Coordinate and supervise production operations, fit-out manufacturing processes, and site installation teams. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum productivity with minimum delays. Determine manpower, machinery, equipment, and raw material requirements based on production demands. Assign production staff and technicians to appropriate tasks and manage shift schedules according to operational requirements. Monitor project progress to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures by testing products and evaluating manufacturing capabilities. Prepare production, labor, and material cost estimates while reviewing production schedules and forecasting future requirements. Address production issues and operational challenges promptly to minimize disruption. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities to ensure uninterrupted operations. Prepare and submit production status reports, performance reports, and operational summaries. Collaborate closely with quality control, warehouse, procurement, engineering, and installation teams. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and government requirements. Train, mentor, and guide technicians and production staff to support operational excellence. Support project planning, production control, site installation, and final handover processes. Maintain organized production documentation and records. Continuously update professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and industry networking.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in production management within retail furniture, joinery, fit-out, or architectural manufacturing industries. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and workflow optimization. Experience managing factory operations, site installation teams, and fast-track projects. Proficient computer skills and familiarity with production management systems. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and team management abilities. High level of commitment, initiative, honesty, and reliability. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
