Job Summary: The Design Manager will oversee and manage the complete design process for a prestigious luxury hotel development, ensuring seamless coordination across architectural, structural, interior, landscape, and MEP disciplines. The role requires strong expertise in hospitality projects, design coordination, BIM implementation, and stakeholder management to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective design solutions aligned with international luxury hotel standards. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the overall design process for the luxury hotel project from concept design to construction and project handover. * Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, interior design, landscape, and specialist consultant activities to ensure design integration and constructability. * Review and approve design drawings, specifications, material selections, and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements, luxury hospitality standards, and local authority regulations. * Manage design schedules, deliverables, and approvals in line with project milestones and construction programs. * Conduct design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and value engineering sessions with consultants, contractors, operators, and client representatives. * Ensure all designs align with luxury hotel operational requirements, guest experience standards, brand guidelines, and sustainability objectives. * Liaise with government authorities, hotel operators, consultants, and stakeholders for design approvals, permits, and technical clarifications. * Oversee BIM implementation and multidisciplinary coordination in compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ISO 19650 standards. * Conduct periodic design reviews, clash detection, and risk assessments to identify and resolve technical issues before construction. * Support procurement and construction teams by reviewing material submittals, mock-ups, shop drawings, and technical proposals. * Ensure proper control and management of all design documentation, revisions, and approvals through the Document Management System (DMS). * Lead preparation and submission of as-built drawings, operation manuals, and design close-out documentation. * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal design and engineering teams to maintain high standards of design quality and coordination. * Ensure alignment between design intent, construction execution, project budget, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is mandatory. * Master's Degree in Architecture or related field will be an added advantage. * Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in design management for large-scale luxury hotel, hospitality, or high-end mixed-use developments. * Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams from concept stage to IFC and project completion. * Strong experience in luxury hospitality projects with international hotel operators and consultants. * In-depth knowledge of architectural design, interior fit-out coordination, MEP integration, construction methodologies, and authority approval processes. * Strong understanding of hospitality design standards, building codes, fire & life safety regulations, and international construction standards. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM platforms, and project management systems. * Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. * Strong focus on quality, functionality, aesthetics, cost control, and timely project delivery. * GCC/UAE luxury hotel project experience will be highly preferred.
