The Technical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to interior fit-out works including joinery, glass, metal, architectural finishes, and MEP coordination. The role requires strong technical understanding of project documentation, BOQs, specifications, shop drawings, and site execution requirements to ensure smooth coordination between design, production, procurement, and construction teams. The Technical Coordinator plays a key role in managing technical submissions, coordinating approvals, and liaising with clients and consultants to ensure timely review and approval of drawings, materials, and technical documents.
Coordinate technical activities for interior fit-out projects involving joinery, glass, metal, and MEP works.
Study project BOQs, specifications, tender documents, and IFC drawings to understand project scope and technical requirements.
Prepare and maintain Shop Drawing (SD) logs, material submittal logs, RFI logs, and technical tracking reports.
Review and coordinate architectural, interior design, structural, joinery, and MEP drawings prior to execution.
Prepare, review, and track shop drawings, coordinated drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as-built drawings.
Coordinate reflected ceiling plans (RCP), builder’s work drawings, and MEP service integration with interior finishes.
Coordinate detailed joinery drawings including custom furniture, wall cladding, counters, wardrobes, vanities, feature walls, and decorative elements.
Coordinate glass and metal works including partitions, balustrades, cladding, decorative screens, and fabricated architectural features.
Ensure proper coordination between site conditions, production drawings, and fabrication requirements.
Liaise with factory production teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams for technical clarifications and approvals.
Attend technical coordination meetings with clients and consultants to discuss comments, revisions, and project requirements.
Follow up with clients and consultants to finalize reviews, approvals, and closure of technical comments in a timely manner.
Coordinate and manage drawing approvals, material approvals, and consultant review processes to avoid project delays.
Conduct site inspections and verify dimensions, levels, and installation compliance with approved drawings.
Identify and resolve clashes between architectural finishes, joinery details, and MEP services.
Monitor drawing status, revisions, approvals, and technical progress to support project schedules.
Support procurement teams with technical material specifications and approved material requirements.
Assist in value engineering and technical optimization of construction details and materials.
Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure all technical records are updated regularly.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and coordination records for management review.
