About the job Senior Piping Engineer

Qualification (minimum)

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.

- PMP certification or an MBA is preferred.

Experience (minimum)

- Minimum 11+ years of relevant experience in piping design and engineering, of which at least 5 years must be at a supervisory level in operations within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Must have relevant work experience in Abu Dhabi within the most recent three (3) years.

Job Description

* Lead piping design and engineering activities for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and safety standards.

* Prepare and review piping layouts, isometrics, stress analysis inputs, material specifications, and design deliverables across project phases.

* Supervise and coordinate installation, fabrication, testing, and commissioning activities related to piping systems.

* Review engineering drawings and technical documents and provide technical support during construction and commissioning stages.

* Participate in bid evaluations, technical clarifications, contractor meetings, and design reviews for piping-related scopes.

* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, civil, electrical, HSE) to ensure integrated and cost‑effective design solutions.

* Ensure adherence to company policies, HSE requirements, and quality standards while delivering projects within schedule and budget.

* Piping & Mechanical Design – Layouts, construction methodology

* 3D Design & Analysis Tools – SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, CAESAR II

* Process, Equipment & HSE Knowledge – Static & rotating equipment, hazardous area classification
