Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Legal Officer will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across Tasa Gulf Industry LLC and its group entities. The role ensures strong corporate governance, risk mitigation, and adherence to applicable UAE and international laws while supporting business growth and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Commercial Support

  • Provide practical and business-oriented legal advice to commercial, operational, and functional teams.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including distribution, supply, service, and vendor contracts.

  • Advise on indirect sales models, distributor lifecycle management, and contract risk exposure.

  • Support cross-border transactions and ensure legal compliance for export-related activities.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws and applicable international regulations.

  • Provide guidance on competition law, export controls, sanctions, anti-bribery, and anti-corruption regulations.

  • Implement and manage the Compliance Management System (CMS).

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and oversee third-party due diligence processes.

  • Ensure compliant engagement with government authorities and public sector stakeholders.

Litigation & Dispute Management

  • Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external legal counsel.

  • Monitor litigation progress and ensure cost-effective legal representation.

Corporate Governance & Internal Controls

  • Support corporate governance frameworks across group entities.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection and internal policy requirements.

  • Conduct internal investigations and recommend corrective/remediation actions.

Training & Awareness

  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs on anti-corruption, competition law, data protection, and export controls.

  • Promote a strong compliance culture across all departments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure legal compliance across all business activities.

Required Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB); additional legal qualifications or bar admission preferred (UAE/GCC).

  • 7–10 years of legal experience, preferably in multinational companies, manufacturing, or regulated industries.

  • Strong expertise in commercial contracts, especially distribution and service agreements.

  • Solid knowledge of compliance frameworks, anti-corruption laws, and third-party risk management.

  • Experience in handling regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and internal investigations.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Business-oriented mindset with ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
