We are looking for a visionary and strategic Director of Sales – Retail Medical Insurance to lead and expand our health insurance business. The ideal candidate will combine strategic insight, sales leadership, and a deep understanding of the UAE healthcare insurance landscape. The role will involve leveraging AI, analytics, and collaboration to create a more personalized, efficient, and scalable sales process — while ensuring top-notch customer engagement and compliance.
As a Renewals Manager (Individual Medical), you will serve as a strategic leader dedicated to driving retention and persistency across our retail health portfolio by working hand-in-hand with our existing sales teams. In this role, you will partner directly with frontline sales agents and distribution channels to champion a proactive renewal culture, equipping them with the tactical toolkits, data insights, and objection-handling strategies needed to secure policy renewals. You will be responsible for actively monitoring sales team performance against churn targets, identifying lapse patterns, and leading targeted, sales-driven intervention campaigns. Ultimately, your goal is to inspire and mobilize our sales forces to maximize persistency, minimize churn, and protect our recurring retail revenue. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Commercial Leadership Develop and implement a data-driven sales strategy to achieve growth and profitability goals. Use AI-powered insights to identify target customer segments, optimize pricing, and enhance lead prioritization. Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to design predictive campaigns for acquisition and retention. Build and scale advisory-led sales models that deliver exceptional service quality. Talent Acquisition & Development Hire, train, and mentor high-calibre sales professionals specialized in health insurance. Utilize AI-based assessments to identify talent with strong advisory and compliance acumen. Partner with HR and L&D to implement AI-enabled learning and performance analytics programs. Promote a culture of learning, ethics and excellence. Collaboration with Internal Teams Partner with Marketing to design and execute lead generation and brand awareness campaigns. Work closely with Technology to optimize CRM systems, digital tools, and automation for personalized sales journeys. Collaborate with Operations and Service teams to ensure efficient policy issuance, renewals, and claims support. Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, and HR to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and governance standards.
Sales Operations & Client Experience Use AI-enhanced CRM tools to deliver personalized advice and track client interactions. Monitor sales funnel metrics, retention, and satisfaction scores using data dashboards. Introduce automation to streamline quotations, documentation, and renewals. Stakeholder Management & Partnerships Strengthen partnerships with insurers and healthcare providers for better pricing and coverage options. Explore collaborations with AI-driven healthtech and wellness platforms to enhance customer value. Governance & Reporting Present performance insights and data-backed recommendations to senior management. Ensure adherence to company policies, DHA regulations, and ethical sales practices.
Qualifications & Experience10–15 years of sales leadership experience in health insurance or advisory-based businesses. Proven record of leading large sales teams and improving productivity through technology and collaboration. Deep understanding of UAE Retail Medical insurance, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Exposure to AI, CRM analytics, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
