Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and verify cutting lists based on approved shop drawings and production requirements.

  2. Coordinate with design, production, and site teams for accurate material requirements.

  3. Ensure optimal material utilization and minimize wastage during cutting operations.

  4. Supervise cutting section staff and monitor daily production activities.

  5. Check measurements, dimensions, and specifications before issuing cutting instructions.

  6. Plan and schedule cutting activities according to project timelines and priorities.

  7. Maintain records of material consumption, cutting reports, and stock usage.

  8. Ensure proper labeling and identification of cut materials for assembly and installation.

  9. Monitor machine operations and ensure proper maintenance coordination.

  10. Implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and finishing standards.

  11. Ensure workplace safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.

  12. Coordinate with procurement/store department regarding material shortages and requirements.

  13. Resolve production-related issues and support continuous improvement in operations.

  14. Train and guide cutting machine operators and workshop helpers when required.

  15. Ensure timely completion of assigned production targets.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Wood Technology, Production, or related field.

  2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-out industry.

  3. Strong knowledge of cutting list preparation and material optimization.

  4. Ability to read and understand shop drawings and production drawings accurately.

  5. Experience in handling cutting machines and workshop production processes.

  6. Good understanding of wood materials, laminates, hardware, and joinery methods.

  7. Strong leadership and team supervision skills.

  8. Good planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

  9. Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations.

  10. Knowledge of production planning and inventory coordination.

  11. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

  12. Familiarity with AutoCAD and production software will be an added advantage.

  13. Good communication and coordination skills.

  14. UAE experience in interior fit-out/carpentry industry preferred.
