Roles & Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design, development, and integration of rail communications systems across all project stages, from feasibility through detailed design, D&C tender support, and delivery
• Define system architecture and technical specifications for telecom networks, fiber optics, radio systems, public address, CCTV, passenger information, and operational communications
• Ensure seamless integration with all rail subsystems including signalling (ATC/CBTC), SCADA, AFC, OCC, depot systems, and relevant airport systems including BHS interfaces
• Support preparation of Design and Construct tender documentation, including technical specifications, performance requirements, and interface definitions
• Coordinate interface management activities and support Systems Engineering processes including requirements management, verification, validation, and traceability
• Develop and support testing and commissioning strategies including FAT, SAT, SIT, and trial operations to ensure system performance and operational readiness
• Identify and manage technical risks, ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards, and support stakeholder coordination and multidisciplinary integration
• Provide technical leadership, support configuration and change management processes, and guide junior engineers within the team

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or equivalent) from a recognized university
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the AECO industry or relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail projects and/or rail operations in Dubai, the GCC, and/or internationally
• Extensive experience in rail communications systems design and implementation on large-scale infrastructure projects, including integration with signalling, OCC, SCADA, and other rail systems
• Proven ability to manage both technical and management aspects of complex rail or transportation projects, including coordination with multiple stakeholders
• Experience in airport-integrated rail systems and exposure to passenger information systems, operational communications, and BHS interfaces is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of international standards and best practices for rail communications systems, along with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments and support delivery across all project stages

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or equivalent) from a recognized university

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the AECO industry or relevant field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail projects and/or rail operations in Dubai, the GCC, and/or internationally
• Master s degree or professional certification, and membership of a recognized engineering institute is an advantage
