Roles & Responsibilities
ATX Pay is a UAE crypto payment platform for luxury merchants, pursuing VARA Transfer & Settlement Services licensing. We’re hiring our first Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer to build our AWS production environment from scratch.
• Architect and build our AWS (Bahrain) infrastructure from the ground up
• Own Terraform IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes)
• Implement security, logging, and monitoring to VARA and SOC 2 standards
• Manage PostgreSQL in production: high availability, backups, zero-downtime migrations
• Lead incident response and on-call practices as we scale
• Work directly with the founder to shape the technical foundation of the company
Desired Candidate Profile
5+ years in DevOps / cloud engineering
Deep AWS expertise: VPC, IAM, KMS, ECS/EKS, RDS
Strong Terraform and CI/CD experience
Production experience in fintech, banking, or crypto (preferred)
Security and compliance mindset
PostgreSQL in production at scale
UAE-based or willing to relocate
Founding-engineer mindset: comfortable owning systems end-to-end with no layers above you
