The successful candidate will deliver robust structural solutions for steel structures, modules, pipe racks, foundations and offshore structures in compliance with international codes and classification society requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural calculations perform detailed hand and computer-based calculations for steel structures, modules, pipe racks, equipment foundations and offshore structures to verify strength, stability and serviceability.

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) conduct and review advanced FEA using ANSYS, STAAD, SAP2000 or equivalent software to assess local and global behaviour, stress concentrations and load paths.

  • CFD and specialist analyses perform or review CFD and related studies where required (wind loading, blast, ventilation, hydrodynamic and other fluid-structure interactions).

  • 3D modelling develop and review structural 3D models to support design, interfacing with plant and naval architecture models and participating in clash detection activities.

  • Drawing review review and approve structural and fabrication drawings, ensuring compliance with design intent, constructability and fabrication requirements.

  • Codes & standards compliance ensure designs meet international codes and standards (AISC, Eurocode, API, ISO) and project/client specifications.

  • Classification society requirements apply and interpret class rules and requirements (DNV, ABS, LR, etc.) for offshore and marine structures.

Specialist knowledge experience in CFD or equivalent fluid-structure interaction studies is advantageous.

Class rules working knowledge of classification society rules and their application to offshore structures (DNV, ABS, LR, etc.).

Modelling & drawing review experience in 3D structural modelling and detailed drawing/fabrication review processes.

Education Bachelor s degree in Naval Architecture, Structural or Mechanical Engineering. A naval architecture background is preferred.
