Position Overview
The RoMea Surgery Supply Chain Sr Specialist is responsible for managing E2E SC activities for the Surgery franchise including but not limited to
- Demand planning including key events management
- Collaborate and align cross functional stakeholders to meet the franchise needs in short terms on order fulfillment and in long term to the growth strategy,
- Bringing efficiencies in franchise SC operations
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting and IBP Management:
- Maintain and understand the sales data at different aggregation levels (Brands, Sub-brands, SKUs, variants, sizes, Distribution channels, demand groups and demand locations).
- Gather information and document assumptions based on historical data, business intelligence gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailers, and other sources.
- Produce unconstrained base demand plan utilizing statistical modelling in collaboration with Central planning team.
- Maintain & validate assumptions of activities calendar and events forecasting building blocks.
- Facilitate parts of the IBP process to gain consensus and alignment with all stakeholders involved in the process to arrive at one unbiased aligned number, practicing the IBP concepts.
- Analyses gaps (financials, capacities, inventory etc.) from unit-based plans to drive alignment between business functions.
- Measure and track the forecast accuracy at different levels and initiate action plans to continuously improve forecast accuracy.
- Manage a group of brands, maintain the lead in supporting the IBP process by ensuring the local market insights are captured in forecast
Risk management and Inventory Health:
- Work with the Medical team to identify, manage and communicate supply criticalities to all stakeholders outside the frozen horizon. Collaborates with the regional supply planners to assign the right priority and action plan to minimize such supply risks.
- Work with the Regulatory Affairs team to avoid and minimize the risk associated with RA Transition in the Middle East. Coordinate with regional planning, project teams, local marketing and commercial on forecast validation to ensure enough stock build during blackout period.
New Products Introduction:
- Locally own NPI project management from supply chain point of view, collaborating with regional supply planners, regulatory, marketing, commercial and operations team to ensure successful on time NPI launch.
- Manage Phase in Phase Out (PIPO) changes at SKU level and communicate changes to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Governance to ensure product codes are created in the system at the right time.

Qualifications & Skills
- University degree in Engineering, Business Management, or similar.
- Required to handle job complexity and interaction with different business functions.
- Courses in Supply Chain/Logistics
- To be able to quickly understand and later improve the processes
Work experience
- 5 years experience, in Supply Chain.
- Position requires prior hands on experience
- Hands on experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning and IBP.
- To quickly engage in driving the process with very short learning curve.
- Prior ERP experience.
- Highly preferred to quickly engage in driving the process and be able to identify potential quick wins.
- IBP experience or qualification.
- To quickly engage in driving IBP process improvement in the country.
- Specific competence requirements (professional requirements)
- Experience working with quantitative & qualitative numbers, creating reports
- Ability to explain/ communicate the business situation in a clear report, .etc
- Expert in Excel, Skilled enough in Word and Power Point
- Essential to do the job
