Roles & Responsibilities

1. Guest Entry Management:

  • Supervise entry and exit points to ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access.
  • Verify identification and adherence to legal age restrictions for entry.
  • Check tickets or cover charges as applicable.
  • Enforce dress codes and venue-specific guest policies.

2. Team Supervision:

  • Oversee door staff, including bouncers and ticket takers.
  • Train new staff members on entry procedures, security protocols, and guest service standards.
  • Assign tasks and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.

3. Security and Safety:

  • Maintain a visible presence at the entrance to deter unwanted behavior and ensure guest safety.
  • Handle difficult situations, such as denying entry to intoxicated patrons or addressing confrontations.
  • Coordinate with security personnel to manage crowd control and respond to emergencies.

4. Customer Service:

  • Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure VIP guests and regular patrons receive the highest level of service.

5. Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations, including alcohol licensing laws and fire safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and any refusal of entry.
  • Report any security issues or breaches to management promptly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience: Previous experience in security or hospitality, particularly in a nightlife environment.

Leadership: Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Communication: Excellent verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and handle physically demanding situations.

Legal Knowledge: Understanding of local laws and regulations regarding nightlife venues.
