Roles & Responsibilities

1. Perform vehicle measurements and 3D scanning of components and complete vehicles.

2. Process and clean 3D scan data for use in product development.

3. Design automotive components, accessories, and fabrication projects using CAD software.

4. Develop sheet metal parts suitable for laser cutting, bending, and fabrication.

5. Design tubular structures such as bumpers, roof racks, roll cages, swing-out carriers, and mounting systems.

6. Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs).

7. Collaborate closely with fabrication, welding, and mechanical teams during product development.

8. Prototype, test, and refine products to ensure proper fitment and functionality.

9. Maintain organized project files and revision control.

10. Participate in research and development of new products for the automotive market.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, CATIA, or similar.

• Experience with automotive product design and development.

• Knowledge of sheet metal design, flat pattern generation, and manufacturing processes.

• Experience designing tubular structures and welded assemblies.

• Familiarity with 3D scanning equipment and scan processing workflows.

• Strong understanding of fabrication methods including laser cutting, CNC machining, bending, welding, and assembly.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving and engineering mindset.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Automotive, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Product Design background.

• Experience working in automotive fabrication, motorsport, off-road, or aftermarket industries.

• Knowledge of vehicle systems, suspension, chassis, and off-road accessories.

• Experience creating production-ready designs and bringing products from concept to market.
