JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL ESTIMATION ENGINEER

REPORTING TO: ESTIMATION MANAGER

continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Engineer to join our

team.

JOB SUMMARY

The Mechanical Estimation Engineer will be responsible for reviewing tender documents,

performing quantity take-o�s, preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with

suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting the preparation of competitive tender

submissions for mechanical systems including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Piping

works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare project brief and discuss with the management to conclude whether to bid or not

to bid.

• Analyze project scope, technical requirements, and client specifications.

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents and check for missing

documents.

• Perform detailed quantity take-o�s for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and piping systems.

• Prepare material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost estimates with

price build up.

• Develop project budgets and tender pricing.

• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare technical and commercial bid submissions.

• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.

• Conduct risk assessments and include contingencies where necessary.

• Coordinate with other teams (Electrical) for any mismatch.

• Maintain estimation databases, pricing records, and historical cost information.

• Raise RFIs and coordinate technical clarifications with consultants and project teams.

• Support project handover activities and provide cost-related assistance to execution

teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of estimation experience within MEP contracting.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Mechanical Systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, PlanSwift, CostX, Bluebeam or equivalent

estimation software.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and commercial evaluation skills.

• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.

• UAE/GCC experience preferred.

• Data Center project experience highly preferred.
