Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe workplace. The role includes conducting site inspections, identifying hazards such as hot work, heavy equipment, and confined spaces, and ensuring proper control measures are in place.

• Monitor daily HSE compliance in rolling mill, utility areas, warehouses, and material handling areas.

• Conduct routine safety inspections and report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

• Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) for high-risk activities.

• Monitor Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) compliance during breakdown and shutdown maintenance.

• Ensure proper PPE usage and enforce safety discipline among workers and contractors.

• Conduct toolbox talks and assist in HSE training and safety awareness programs.

• Support incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition reporting and investigation.

• Coordinate fire safety checks and ensure emergency equipment readiness.

• Monitor environmental practices such as dust control, waste disposal, and chemical handling.

• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and daily/weekly safety documentation.

Diploma, Certified OHS Practitioner (OSHAD/ADOSH)
