Job Description
In collaboration with the Trading Manager, the Non-Ferrous Trader is responsible for buying and trading scrap metal products. They are also required to develop and maintain outstanding business relationships with new and current customers. This position requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment and enjoys working closely with various departments within the company, as well as customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain outstanding business relationships with existing and new clients.
Identify new suppliers and/or customers.
Work with the Trading Manager to develop and maintain targets.
Visit suppliers and/or customers, either by phone or in person, to promote new and repeat business, quote pricing, provide customer service, answer questions, handle complaints, and build rapport.
Work closely with logistics/shipping agents and have knowledge of general INCO Terms.
Develop a network of reliable contacts.
Generate and maintain spreadsheets as necessary, including commodity market trends/indexes, pricing, and order performance.
Perform special projects as assigned and other duties as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a relevant field.
Must be a Graduate.
Good negotiation and excellent communication skills.
Understanding of metal scrap and LME.
