Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Pharmacist – Evening Shift (DHA Licensed)
Company: Al Tawakkul Pharmacy, Al Nahda 1, Dubai
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive, self-driven Pharmacist to take ownership of our evening pharmacy operations in Dubai. This isn't a role for someone who just wants to dispense and clock off — we need someone who can run the pharmacy with initiative, spot opportunities to improve service and sales, and genuinely drive the business forward during their shift.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all evening pharmacy operations independently, including dispensing, stock control, and compliance with DHA regulations
Take ownership of the pharmacy's performance during evening hours — identifying ways to improve patient experience, efficiency, and sales
Counsel patients clearly on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects
Build strong relationships with regular customers and referring clinics
Handle day-to-day problem-solving without needing constant oversight
Maintain accurate records, inventory, and expiry management
Liaise with the wider team to ensure smooth handover and continuity of care
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' pharmacy experience in Dubai (UAE experience essential)
Valid, active DHA Pharmacist License
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
Excellent communication skills in English (essential); Malay and Hindi a strong advantage
Proven ability to work independently and take initiative — we want someone who manages the pharmacy, not just staffs it
Strong customer service orientation and commercial awareness
Comfortable working evening hours (4 PM – 12 AM) on a consistent basis
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience with pharmacy management/POS systems (e.g., PharmacyPlus).
Familiarity with insurance pre-approval processes and e-prescription systems (Riayati, Malaffi)
Strong upselling/cross-selling ability for OTC and wellness products
Experience handling controlled substances and narcotics logging in line with DHA requirements
Basic inventory forecasting and stock reconciliation skills
Ability to train, supervise, or mentor pharmacy technicians/assistants
Comfortable handling cash reconciliation and end-of-shift reporting
Prior experience in a high-footfall or commercially-driven retail pharmacy setting
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort making decisions without direct supervision
Experience in Pharmacies utilising third-party platforms (e.g. Noon, Talabat, Instashop).
